NAPCRG Strategic Plan
2022-2025
Our new strategic plan was officially adopted at the October 2021 Board of Directors meeting. It features four goals:
- Indispensable Membership: Develop a cohesive membership program that reinforces how NAPCRG is critical to researchers’ development, effectiveness, and career success.
- Workforce & Pathways: Elevate the presence and visibility of primary care research as a vital career commitment across the spectrum of academic and clinical primary care disciplines.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Expand our commitment to diversity & inclusion throughout the organization.
- Global Community: Strengthen the connections of primary care researchers across the globe as one community.
We revised our diversity statement to set forth more context for our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and to anchor and guide actions in the future:
"We recognize current and historical inequities in research, including inequities in populations and among researchers themselves, that have resulted in disparities in health and well-being. We strive to create a research environment that amplifies the diverse voices of people and communities across all aspects of research, and particularly for those populations and Indigenous peoples who have been -- or continue to be underrepresented. We seek to promote the participation of a diverse membership in NAPCRG leadership, meetings and programs, research, employment and in all its other endeavors. We strive to include all, inclusive of sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, race, religion, disability, ancestry or national origin."
