Mid-Career Researcher Award
The Mid-Career Researcher Award recognizes exceptional research achievements and significant contributions made by individuals at the mid-career stage. This award celebrates researchers who have demonstrated a strong and sustained record of scholarly impact, leadership, and advancement within their field.

Nomination/Submission Process
1. Nominator: By April 16, 2025, the nominator will submit the following materials electronically:
- Complete the nomination form - linked below
- A letter of nomination (two page maximum). The letter of nomination should emphasize why the nominee is both eligible for and deserving of the award (merit).
Please note: After submitting your nomination, please notify the nominee. The nominee must complete a nomination package. The questions are in depth and may require between 1-3 hours of time to complete.
2. Nominee: The Awards Committee Chair will contact each nominee via e-mail, to inform them that they're being considered for the Mid-Career Researcher Award. The nominee needs to submit the following materials by April 25, 2025:
- Complete the nominee form.
- Upload a current Curriculum Vitae (five pages maximum, if more than five pages are included the committee will only review the first five.)
- Upload two letters of support describing why they should receive the award, letters may be countersigned by more than one individual. Each letter should be no more than one page in length.

Eligibility Criteria
- The nominee must be a current NAPCRG member.
- The nominee may be defined as mid-career by the following evidence:
- Ten to twenty years since completion of terminal degree (e.g., residency/fellowship/PhD/MSW)
- Rank of either assistant or associate professor (or equivalent)
- Other evidence of mid-career status – please describe why the nominee qualifies as mid-career, if not explicitly clarified by one of the criteria above.
- The nominator must be a current NAPCRG member.
Evaluation Process
Completed submissions will be evaluated independently by at least three members of the Awards Committee. The recipient of the Mid-Career Researcher Award will be recognized at the NAPCRG Annual Meeting.
Review criteria for evaluation will include:
• Evidence of major grant funding and/or publications as co-or principal investigator.
• Evidence of meaningful mentorship with outcomes for mentees (e.g., publications, grants).
• Evidence of working with diverse groups or individuals.
• Evidence of significant collaboration within primary care research and meaningful outcomes for the field of primary care research.
