NAPCRG Presidential Webinar: Design and Pragmatic Trial of COACH
Join us for our first webinar, featuring outgoing NAPCRG President, Dr. Richelle Koopman!
About the Webinar:
Pragmatic trials aim to conduct experimental trials in conditions that resemble real-world situations so that their results might better apply to real-world practice. This webinar will address the rationale for pragmatic trials and describe design of a pragmatic trial. We will also show how degree of pragmatism can be measured and reported for these trials. The webinar will use examples from an ongoing pragmatic trial of the COACH app for hypertension control. We will highlight resources that can help investigators use this method.
Objectives:
- Describe pragmatic trial design and rationale and measures of pragmatism in trials
- Discuss design decisions made in a pragmatic trial and illustrate using the pragmatic trial of the COACH EHR tool for hypertension
- Elucidate resources for help in designing pragmatic trials.
